This site is served by a third-party hosting provider. For technical operation and security, the host automatically processes server log files your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, the referrer URL, and your browser/operating-system version. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest in a secure and stable website. These logs are not merged with other data.

The Google Sans Flex and Google Sans Code typefaces are self-hosted and served directly from this site. No connection is made to Google Fonts or any other third-party font service, so no font-related data — including your IP address — is transmitted to external providers.

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. Nothing is loaded from third parties while you browse it; the only exception is YouTube, and only once you choose to play a video (see below).

Up to three preferences are kept in your browser’s local storage, and only once you make them: the colour theme you pick in the footer, the Minecraft version you pick in the download section, and your choice to always allow YouTube on the videos page. They never leave your device and are not sent to me or anyone else. Storing them is strictly necessary to provide the function you asked for (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG) and needs no consent. You can remove them at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

The home page and the videos page show videos hosted on YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. They are never loaded automatically: until you press play, the page shows previews drawn by this site itself, and no connection to YouTube is made (two-click solution).

Only when you press play is the video embedded from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. Your browser then connects to YouTube and Google, transmitting your IP address and browser details, and YouTube may store information on your device and process usage data under its own privacy policy. If you switch on “Always allow YouTube”, the previews are replaced by YouTube’s thumbnails, which are loaded from YouTube’s servers, and your choice is remembered on your device.

Legal basis is your consent, given by pressing play or switching on “Always allow YouTube” (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future by switching “Always allow YouTube” off or clearing this site’s data in your browser. Google may process data in the USA; such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

The download buttons and some links lead to GitHub, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P Kelly Jr Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Nothing is loaded from GitHub while you browse this site. Only when you follow such a link does your browser connect to GitHub, which then processes your IP address and browser details under its own privacy statement; for transfers to the USA, GitHub relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

This policy covers this website. It does not describe data processing inside the ellice client software.
